Willow & Fern is a two-chair studio just off Reigate High Street. Cuts, colour and balayage by Amy and Grace, with appointments booked long enough to do the work properly. Cut and finish from £46. Full balayage from £140.
The studio
Willow & Fern opened in 2019 when Amy left a big Redhill salon to run a room of her own. Grace joined two years later. That's the whole team, and it's deliberate: you book with a stylist, you get that stylist, every visit.
We book fewer appointments per day than most salons, so a balayage gets the four hours it needs and a cut never gets squeezed to make room for a walk-in. You'll get a proper consultation before any scissors or colour come out, and a cup of tea that arrives hot.

Not usually. We book fewer appointments a day so nobody feels rushed, which means there's rarely a free chair on the spot. Ring ahead and we'll often find you a slot within the week.
Two to three weeks for balayage or a full head of foils, especially around Thursday evenings. Cuts and root tints are easier to fit in at short notice.
Say so when you book. Every appointment starts with a proper consultation, and Amy or Grace will talk through what suits your hair before any scissors or colour come out.
Yes, and we ask for one at least 48 hours before your first colour appointment with us. It's a quick five-minute visit, no booking needed.

Owner and colour specialist. Trained in London before opening Willow & Fern in 2019. Balayage and colour correction are her thing.
Joined in 2021 after seven years cutting curly and textured hair in Brighton. Ask her about dry cutting.
