We're Willow & Fern Hair Studio, an independent salon on Church Street in Reigate. We decide what happens to the information described here, which in data protection language makes us the data controller. Email us at hello@example.co.uk or ring 01737 000000.
Online bookings go through Fresha, which holds your name, phone number, email address and your appointment history. The enquiry form on this site is handled by Formspree, which passes your message to our inbox. If you ring us, we write your name and number in the appointment book.
We hold this so we can give you the appointment you asked for, remind you about it, and get hold of you if the stylist is off sick.
We keep your contact details, your appointment history and your colour formulas, so that the colour you loved in March can be repeated in June.
We also keep a record of allergy alert testing: the date, the product and the result. That's information about your health, which the law protects more strictly, and we keep it because we can't colour your hair safely without it. We hold these records for seven years, which is what our insurer asks for.
We only photograph your hair if you say yes on the day, and you can say no without any awkwardness. If you agree, we may use the photo on our website, Instagram or Facebook. Change your mind later and we'll take it down: email us and we'll do it that week.
Our booking system, our form provider and our card payment provider hold information in the ordinary way those services work. Nobody else. We don't sell anything to anyone, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you asked to be on it.
You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Ask in the salon or by email and we'll sort it within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll do our best to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the request your browser makes for them. Our host keeps ordinary server logs for security.
