Get in touch

A few lines is enough

You don't have to explain everything, and you don't have to be sure. Tell me roughly what's going on and what you're looking for, and I'll reply within two working days.

The short way

Send a message

Three questions. Nothing is booked by sending it.

Please keep this short. Don't put medical details or anything you'd hate to see in an email in here: there'll be time for all of it in a session. Your message reaches me by email through a form service, and the privacy notice explains what happens to it.

Other ways

Or, if you'd rather

Email me directly at hello@example.co.uk.
Leave a voicemail on 01252 000000. It goes to me, nobody else, and I return calls on weekday afternoons.

I answer messages Tuesday to Friday. If you write at the weekend, you'll hear from me on Tuesday.

No surprises

What happens after you send it

I read it properly

Not a template reply and not an automated sequence. Just me, usually in the afternoon.

I tell you honestly what I can offer

Whether I have space, when, and what I'd suggest. If someone else would suit you better, I'll give you their name.

Nothing is booked until you say so

You can take a week to think, or decide it isn't the moment. Neither needs explaining, and I won't chase you.

If you need help now

Counselling isn't an emergency service, and I don't monitor messages in the evenings or at weekends. If waiting isn't safe, these people answer straight away.

Samaritans: 116 123, free, day or night.

Shout: text SHOUT to 85258 if talking is too much.

NHS 111: call 111 and choose the mental health option.

If life is at risk: call 999 or go to your nearest A&E.
