Who you'll be working with
I'm Federica. I spent eight years as an engineer and product manager, including leading UX work at IBM. The job was working out what people need from a screen and making it easy for them to act. Now I do that for new businesses in Surrey. My portfolio is small because the business is new. The experience behind it isn't.
Why it costs what it does
I work on my own from home in Woking, so there's no office or account manager to pay for. Four pages is a fixed job, so it can have a fixed price. I'm also building my portfolio. What doesn't get cut is the words, the design and the Google set-up.

Common questions
What does web design cost?
A logo and a four-page website is £450. A website on its own is £300, with the words written for you, and a website you can edit yourself is £750. Your domain is about £10 to £15 a year on top, paid straight to the company you buy it from. The price is fixed before we start.
Do I have to write the words?
No. We talk for half an hour or so about your business and your customers, and I write the pages from that. You read them and tell me what to change. Most cheap website packages leave the words to you, and it's usually the part that never gets done.
Do you only work with businesses in Surrey?
I'm based in Surrey and happy to meet in person around Guildford, Woking, Reigate, Epsom and the rest of the county. But most of the work happens remotely, so I work with small businesses right across the UK.
I'm stuck on Wix or Squarespace. Can you move me off it?
Yes. I'll rebuild it as a site you own, carry your content across and redirect your old pages so you don't lose what Google already knows about you. After that the domain, the hosting and the site are yours, with no monthly builder fee.
How long does it take?
A four-page website is live two weeks after our chat, as long as I have your photos and details. A logo takes about a week, with two rounds of changes. A logo and website together is usually three weeks.
